Chief Executive Officer Lowell Larson announced the realignment of Southern Ventures Corporation’s real estate and construction operations into a wholly owned subsidiary, the Landmark Real Estate Group. The new multi-task company is a fully licensed real estate brokerage and will handle acquisitions, sales and leasing of commercial real estate as well as development planning and general construction through its two divisions, Vista Development LLC and Venture Construction Inc.

Clay Carnathan, who joined Southern Ventures Corporation in June of 2004, has been appointed President and Chief Operating Officer of the Landmark Real Estate Group. Clay, a native to Fort Walton Beach, brings over 25 years of experience in construction and development to the company. Clay is a state certified contractor and a licensed real estate broker.

Clay is a graduate of Troy State University. He served two terms as a city councilman in Fort Walton and is a past member of the Okaloosa Gas Board. Under Clay’s direction Landmark will manage Southern Ventures expansion which currently includes new additions to Chez Élan ~ Fine Apartments in Fort Walton Beach and Cayo Grande Navarre.

Donna Miller

Donna Miller has been appointed to the position of Vice President of Landmark’s land development division, Vista Development LLC which oversees land planning, zoning compliance and site infrastructure engineering. In addition, Vista provides project representation for company projects constructed by outside general contractors. Donna joined Southern Ventures in 2000 as a Facilities Manager at the Embassy Suites Destin and has served in additional positions as a project

manager and as Corporate Office Manager. Donna is a graduate of the University of Maryland and a licensed real estate agent.

Tim Chapman has been selected to serve as Vice president of Landmark’s construction division, Venture Construction Inc., a licensed general contracting company focused primarily on multi-family and hotel projects. Tim, a state certified general contractor and life long resident of Okaloosa County, brings over 25 years of construction experience to his new position.

In his position, Tim will oversee contract administration, project scheduling and the on-site project superintendents. Currently, Venture has projects at the Chez Élan ~ Fine Apartments and Cayo Grande Navarre under construction.
